I'm on celexa and have be so for the last few years. I have run for 45 minautes/day for all this time. I know that excercise gives me an additional mood boost, especially on those days when the antidepressant does not cover all.

Antidepressants will never replace the effect of excercise upon mood. Both exercise and antidepressants riase serotonin, but more importantly they raise a substance called BDNF (brain derived neurotrophic factor) this helps the brain to remap itself.

Anyhow excercise increased BDNF above the antidepressant induced baseline. In other words they work together.

So keep up the exercise, especially the aerobic.
