Docs wouldn't prescribe meds to help, I was too scared to go out and exercise (and flat way to small to do it inside!). The carb cravings were all consuming.. I needed pasta to survive it felt like. This is what finally made me give it up, along with improved health.

I have read that amantadine (Symmetrel) has been used to prevent weight gain while taking Zyprexa. I also know of one person for whom it seems to have worked. She had taken Zyprexa three times, which produced significant weight gain. On the fourth trial, her doctor added amantadine. She gained not a single pound.
