Remeron with Effexor is a good combo, and it doesn't keep you groggy during the day when the Remeron is taken at bedtime. I was also given clonazepam (Klonopin) and Prozac with this combo and found both helpful. The klonopin helped with the mild anxiety created by the high dose Effexor and the Prozac helped boost the antidepressant effects of Remeron and Effexor.
It is the best combo I've been on.
