I have found that increasing the dose of Ambien past 10mg only led to irritability the next day.
I tried this twice, so I can't say it with objective certainty.
I really do think that maybe adjuncting with a benzo like Klonopin is a better strategy than adding on more ambien. If not, then yes, perhaps trazadone might be in order.
