Hi Brad,

There's loads on this site about people trying to withdraw from effexor. I've had exactly the syptoms you describe when I miss a dose (I'm on 75mg per day). the dizziness and being unable to move my head without having that strange rushing sensation makes it hard to do anything sometimes. I also sleep all the time, I'd sleep right through every day if I could.

I'm 20 and at university in Britain and I'm finding it pretty frustrating that no doctors seem to understand what I mean when I describe the symptoms. They are going to increase the dose because after 4 months Effexor still isnt working, but I'm not sure if I want to increase it when its going to be hell to get off.

Some doctors prescribe prozac (fluoxetine) when you are reducing your dose of Effexor. Because it has a longer half life it can take some of the withdrawal symptoms away and is easier to come off.

Good luck,

_me
