Well, from my experience, I took 225 Effexor + 50 Seroquel and I lost weight. About half a pound to a pound per week.

It had me worried as I was getting close to two-digits but I stopped taking it altogether.

From what I saw from side effects, it can be weight gain or weight loss ... loss being less common. But for me it just made me like a zombie ... so all I did was sleep and thus no eating.

Anti-depressants are probably more likely to make you gain weight ... stuff like Paxil in particular. I didn't gain anythign from the Effexor though.
