I got Nardil prescription from my pdoc. (I'm suffering from OCD and SP)
He recommeneded me to take .5 mg each in the morning and at bedtime. (I was on Paxil and Celexa before...now tappered off completely, but some Celexa withdrawal effects still remain though they started to disappear)I have taken .25mg only in the mornings of Sep. 11 and 12 to see how I react. I was pretty calm but was kind of too fatigued and tired...it might be because of Celexa withdrawal effects.
I took .5mg this morning, and my feeling was "decent"...actually a little close to "great".
It's probably because of higher dosage of Klonopin and lessened Celexa withdrawal effects. My questions are:
1. Should I take this med regularly, like .5mg in the morning and .5mg at bedtime, as the pdoc said, to get full effect?
2. If I take regularly, what are the chances that my body in future requires higher dosages to be calm enough?
After a week, I will start taking Nardil. Here are some more questions:
3. How will Nardil be different from Klonopin? Will Nardil make me calm as Klonopin did to me? Or does it feel different?
4. Do you recommend me taking Klonopin regularly (.5mg in the morning and .5mg at bedtime) until I try Nardil?
I'm just worried about taking Klonopin because I read that it could make me addictive to this drug, and that my brain will require higher dosage of it as the brain gets used to the drug. So, I won't respond well enough to this drug when I really need it (ex. performance or presentation).
Any comment is welcome, as usual =)
