Effexor has been helpful to me for the Binge part of an eating disorder. I don't know why. My therapist says that Effexor takes the *kick* out of eating. For me, there's not much taste in food now. I don't get a rush of pleasure from, let's say, letting chocolate melt on my tongue. But Effexor is a strong drug with side effects that many folks can't handle. Not because they're weak, but because everyone's experience differs. Also Effexor has some withdrawal problems.

Wellbutrin? People typically lose weight on Wellbutrin when they first start taking it. It's a nice, side effect free, anti-depressant. Don't take it if you ever had a history of anexoria or bulimia.

Good luck on Celexa!
