anti-psychotics and sexual function

Posted by Sabina on July 23, 2003, at 23:22:06

i'm a little wary of starting this thread, but i really am curious as to whether anyone can explain something for me. i have tried one ssri after another since 1996, all with terrible SE's and varying success. since that time i consistantly have had difficulty climaxing. through these many years i had almost given up and convinced myself that climaxing shouldn't be so idealized, it's the intimacy that counts, etc. well...since i began taking 100mg a day of seroquel (with xanax prn) things have been different; pleasantly so, ridiculously effortless, even. i can think of no other factors to account for this sudden change, but does anyone know *why* this is so? also, my pdoc wants to add a mood stabilizer (probably depakote) soon. could this affect the rediscovered frosting on my cake, as it were? i appreciate any advice you can offer.
