> What I don't understand is that you took the Anafranil for only 4 days and the side effects sound horrible.I know! The depression was unbelievable! But I'm in the middle of uni - studying heavy stuff like chemistry, can't waste time!! Had to get off it - just couldn't concentrate. It is common knowledge that Anafranil can cause a aggravation of depression in early therapy.
I thought that we had to give it a little longer, on most meds, for our bodies to adjust and that most of the side effects would disappear. You are correct - the fact that Anafr. made depression so bad means it could have made it a lot better in 2 weeks - like I said I'm too busy at uni to screw around. It was foolish to change during uni, looking at the situation in retrospect.
> Is this not true? If we find it horrible after a 4 days or so do the side effects not start to diminish or are we supposed to stop the med?
Very much a personal decision. Myself, if I were not at uni I would have stuck with it for a longer time, but I need to study.
