Ok you all know the ssri (ni) treadmill....

Posted by lostsailor on March 29, 2003, at 18:27:58

Years ago on 20, 30, then 40 mg paxil....no real success, mostly for panic---co-administered with a good dose of xanax (2mg tid, so 6) onto...all the others, found Effexor-XR to be great for dep episodes
But eventually (even with mood stabel.) leads to mania. I now use that for real hard times and when the dep breaks, go back to an ssri, lately celexa and now it's cousin lexapro.

I was doing well on lexapro, xanax (now 8mg), lamictal and ambian to sleep, but wanted to try paxil -cr (just in hope good could change to great, which ='s "normal" to me). Almost 6 weeks now and I can't sleep at all and had to start serequil to even doze off a bit.

I plan to go back to lexapro next appointment, which is next week...anyone else have same pattern
(Basically paxil, celexa/lexapro, and then tried paxil-cr with good results??? Maybe I should give it another few weeks, but usually my side effect subside within about two. Also doc said the Paxil -cr is usually sedating and for me it's been the opposite.

Any help would be great...~tony
