Lithium blood levels - WHAT IS GOING ON?

2 days on 250mg Lithium did blood test - 0.2 was the plasma level.
5 days on 500mg did blood test - 0.2 was the level Again!
WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?
I AM NOW UP TO 750 MG - WILL IT BE 0.2 AGAIN?
I DON'T KNOW HOW TO GIVE THIS DAMN MED A FAIR TRIAL AND ITS SHITTING ME.
SHOULD I GO UP TO 1000MG??
ADVICE PLEASE - ANY ADVICE
