Hi FredPotter,
I haven't read much about this, but I do believe Picamilon is a prescription drug in Russia. It was first synthesized maybe 20, 30 years ago. They prescribe it for depression, cerebrovascular insufficiency, glaucoma, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and anxiety... possibly other things.
It's nothing like GHB-- it doesn't cause any drowsiness at all, and is mildly stimulating. GHB is both a prescursor to and a metabolite of GABA; Picamilon is GABA bonded to niacin, thus taking it will increase your levels of this neurotransmitter... which, in a more roundabout way, is the same thing Nardil and some anti-convulsants manage to do.
I wouldn't say adrafinil is in any way necessary, but in my opinion a normal dose of adrafinil or modafinil couldn't hurt anyone.
