What side effects might I get? I ALWAYS get them, and bad. Is it worth it??? I just got off the birth control pill a couple of months ago. I am not sure I want to mess with hormones again. Mitch are you out there?

Chloe,

I would go with your pdoc's suggestion. You don't have to take very much from what I understand. I saw my "tdoc" the other day and he said my thyroid funciton was normal. The only concern is bone density loss if you are a post-menopausal woman and you take enough thyroid hormone which pushes your TSH down below "normal" levels. It may be worth it to push it down to "low-normal" levels.
