In reply to Klonopin for SP, posted by jonh kimble on October 13, 2002, at 19:42:46
> Hello, Im hoping to try klonopin soon for social anxiety(I also have some add, dysthymia or related problems) and I havent responded to an awful lot. Anyway, how have people found klonopin has helped them? Does it always wrok? I managed to get a 1mg tab of clonazepam and all it did was make me sleepy. Do the sp benefits come after a while? Also, how big of a problem is tolerance? Can I take this stuff for the rest of my life at a relativly low dose if needed? I appreciate the help and would like to know of anything else people have found effective for sp. Thanks

Generally speaking the benzodiazapines have the highest success rates along with the MAOI's - much higher than any AD.
Also different Benzos such as ativan, xanax, valium, and klonopin (w/ klonopin slightly more likely to depress slightly), as well as MAOI's, will ellicit different responses in any given individual at different doses.
