Psycho Surgery for Depression.

Posted by linkadge on October 6, 2002, at 12:53:02

There is a proceedure I saw on tv that
is supposed to be very effective in relieving
depression. It is by nature a last resort,
but I believe it should be available in the
States. They drill two holes in the back
of your head and make two tiny lesions in
some part of the brain. Supposidy, when
done properly has no side effects, and can
relieve depression in 70% of untreatable patients.

Other things I wonder.
I read in a book that deep sleep was induced
in cats by stimulation of some part
of the brain by an electrode. When turned
off, the cat woke up. Why can't they install
these things in people. You have a little computer
and you punch in the time you want to get up, and
it performs. If only my sleeps cycles could be
that controllable
