You might have less depressive trouble with the Gabitril (as opposed to benzos), but I don't know how you might fare in the memory department. I tried it before and I crashed and burned bigtime on it. Start at the lowest dose and follow the conservative titration schedule. Higher doses are much more likely to be troublesome. I had an activating reaction to it at low doses (4-12mg/day), but above that my memory was shot to smithereens. It could be helpful for you, your mileage *will* vary.
