> I ask my doctor to switch me off of klonopin and onto another benzo due to memory and depression problems caused by it. She wants to put me on Gabatril. Never heard of it. Is it fast acting like a benzo would be or do i have to wait for it to titrate into my blood stream. Thanks in advance for any replies.

> HouseYou might have less depressive trouble with the Gabitril (as opposed to benzos), but I don't know how you might fare in the memory department. I tried it before and I crashed and burned bigtime on it. Start at the lowest dose and follow the conservative titration schedule. Higher doses are much more likely to be troublesome. I had an activating reaction to it at low doses (4-12mg/day), but above that my memory was shot to smithereens. It could be helpful for you, your mileage *will* vary.
