I got a rash on my face, on my upper lip, while on Paxil. Paxil seemed to change my skin a little making it more dry. I saw a dermatologist who told me it was seborrhea. I should put a cortisone cream on it but it could be a lifetime problem, they said the Paxil was un-related. I did this as directed for several weeks and it didn't seem to help at all. I doubled the amount with no effect. I stopped the Paxil with a tiny bit of improvement, but it was still there. Kept putting on the cream. Finally I got frustrated and stopped the ointment and started an anti-biotic only ointment and it went away within a week. It was a misdiagnosis. I had a simple bacterial infection that was prolonged by months of mistreatment.

I'm not saying that you have a bacterial infection as I did, just that if you are using any topical treatment, if massive improvement isn't seen in a month or so that the diagnosis should be questioned: get a second opinion (from a dermatologist).

I haven't heard anyone else complain of skin changes on Paxil but I was not immunosuppressed otherwise so it is odd I got a skin infection at all. I don't doubt Paxil must have had something to do with it.
