On the front page of Monday's NEW YORK TIMES, there was an article about Pfizer buying out Pharmacia. Hmmm. . . Maybe if Pfizer goes through with this, Reboxetine will eventually be approved in this country. Pfizer is a very rich, very powerful company. They can probably afford to run all those extra clinical trials that the FDA demands. I think that Pharmacia didn't want to run any more Reboxetine clinical trials for the FDA. They already market Reboxetine in 18 other countries, and they probably figured it wasn't worth their while to be put through yet another hurdle, with no guarantee that the FDA would approve it.
