Wellbutrin is the only anti-depressant that ever did me any good, so I don't want to quit it to try something new. Fortunately, there are lots of things that can be combined with it, like SSRI's and mood stabilizers (anti-psychotics and anti-convulsants).
I have combined Wellbutrin (200 mg/day) with Cytomel (a thyroid drug), Methylphenidate (Ritalin), and Risperdal (an anti-psychotic) to treat my depression. The Cytomel helped a little, as did the Ritalin. It's too soon to tell about the Risperdal. YMMV, of course.
Good luck!
