I am currently taking wellbutrin. The SSRI I have taken in the past was Zoloft. With Zoloft I wasn't able to really feel or access my emotions; the calm I felt was numb. With wellbutrin, it took about 6 months before I noticed any calming effect. All of a sudden one day I felt more peaceful; a sense of gentle well-being and an increased ability to cope with stress. I still feel that way about it today.
