In reply to alcohol and bipolar, posted by borderliner21 on April 9, 2002, at 21:00:59
I do not have first hand experience, because I am not bipolar. However, I know, not well enough to intervene, a woman that is, and drinks 24/7. She has had a drinking problem for years, and I cannot imagine it helps her condition. She did lose her husband when he was 36 years old to cancer, (5 years ago) and she is raising their 2 teenage sons alone now. However, in a fog.
I can't imagine how hard this must be for her and those boys. I would avoid it if I were you. It can spiral.
