chemical formulae of psychotropics

Posted by Iago Camboa on April 11, 2002, at 12:35:21

For those who like to look at the structural formulae of all manner of psychotropic substances, the following points to a very comprehensive (chemical) database:

http://chemfinder.cambridgesoft.com/

As an example, one can easily visualize that the hypnotic drug 'zolpidem' (Ambien) is not a benzo itself (though inserts call it a 'benzodiazepine-like' drug) while its antidote 'flumazenil' IS indeed a benzodiazepine that acts as a 'BENZODIAZEPINE RECEPTOR ANTAGONIST'...
Did you also know this one, Elizabeth?
