In reply to electro-shock sensation in my heart, posted by Bookgurl99 on April 8, 2002, at 8:22:16
I would not come off the serzone quite so suddenly. In general, you should find a caring doctor you are comfortable with and that you trust, especially if you are going to be modifying your med regimen.
In this case, I would go see your doctor as soon as you can. Maybe there are some meds that she can give you to calm your immediate anxiety.
Hang in there,
Mike
> I have been coming off of Serzone (in an attempt to resolve some scary cognitive problems I've been having) quite suddenly. I had a seizure-like trunk jerking two nights ago in the middle of the night, and now feel an electro-shock sensation in my heart momentarily at night. Meanwhile, my normal 80 bpm heart ranges from 100-125, regardless of my mood state. (In other words, in absence of an apparent anxiety attack.)
