Yes, it may take some time, but your body will adjust to the Effexor. "Go slow and low" is my advise, and just listen to your body. It may take weeks...it may even take months, but if you go too fast, you'll just get side effects. A number of people on here, including myself, have been on Effexor for years, so this is a great place for support. Hope that helps..
