Geodon-does it really work as an antidepressant???

The previous latest trend was to use anticonvulsants as "antidepressants." Now, prescribing antipsychotics as "antidepressants" is in vogue. So, do AP's really work for depression? All I've read about Geodon so far is that people can't sleep at night but they are groggy all day. I haven't heard anything positive about its effects on depression. Does anyone here have anything to report?

Also, what about extra-pyramidal symptoms, tardive dyskinesia, etc?
