In reply to Does Klonopin decrease dopamine?, posted by JaneB on March 9, 2002, at 12:39:18
> Hi,
> Do I need dopamine? Dr. says Wellbutrin helps dopamine.
> I have had good success with Klonopin .5mg for sleep, neck pain and severe anxiety. Celexa @ 20mg helps depression a lot. But I am energyless. Feel like sleeping in the daytime. Hard time finishing projects or feeling joy. Dr. suggested Wellbutrin 100mg as a supplement. Last year when I tried it I felt that I needed more klonopin to control anxiety and got worried and stopped it. I am considering trying it again. Any advice? I want to be more productive but still prevent insomnia and anxiety. I am in my late 50's and have a lot of responsibilities right now and can't risk a setback. I have tried reading posts but would appreciate a little feedback. You are all sooooo great! Thanks
> JaneBMy advice...stick with what worked. If the klonopin helped with the pain, and anxiety, stick with it...if the Celexa worked, but was too sedating, try another med in the same class, or try decreasing the dose....If wellbutrin caused too much anxiety, you may benefit from a drug called Provigil.
