I think alot of pdoc are swinging back to the TCAs for the large group of folk not responding to SSRI/effexor .... they can be remarkably effective for many patients .... and some will never give up their TCA med for a SSRI. They would rather have dry mouth, weight gain and constipation instead of insomnia, sexual dysfunction, nausea, diarrhea, anxiety.
