Hi all:
I just started Adderall yesterday. My pdoc said I should take 2.5mgX2 for first 4 days, then 5mg+2.5mg then, after 4 more days, 5mgX2. I'm used to taking cumulative drugs that build up in your system (depakote, SSRI's, etc.). I'm having trouble with the 'crash' effect of the drug, although I've heard it's alot better than Ritalin in that respect. I'm having trouble with the timing of the doses - sometimes it'll wear of more quickly; also, I'm prescribed to take it twice daily (morning and afternoon), and sometimes I have alot of things to do (rehearsals, gigs, etc.) later at night up to or past midnight. I'm also active early in the morning. But if I take the first dose at 8:30a.m. and the second at, let's say, 1pm, what do I do at night?? I don't want to feel like crap when I have evening obligations. Any suggestions from an Adderall user? It seems to be working okay, but I'm wondering if anyone also experiences a dull feeling (almost like being burnt out on alot of pot use) where you're a little spacey and free of worry, but your mind can concentrate and focus well on single things. This is what I've been experiencing and I'm wondering if it's normal. Then there are the side-effects: While the drug is acting, I've experienced sudden periods of stomach pains and nausea. When the drug wears off, side-effects seem to increase and I've experienced some anxiety, physical achiness and nausea. But I'm only on the second day. So, my questions are: 1) Do these side-effects go away in time, especially the 'crashy' feeling? 2) Does a higher dose make the positive effects last longer? (in which case I can, let's say, take more in the afternoon and it might tide me over until I get home late at night)
Thanks
