I don't know anything about the estrogenic effects of these things, but I do know that losing words may very well be an effect of Topamax. I've heard lots about odd neurological affects of Topamax, and word-finding difficulties is one of the more common ones with psychiatric meds.
I'd suggest you talk to an ob-gyn or even a hormone-doctor (endocrinologist?), cuz it sounds like the interaction is important and is probably out of the scope of your psychiatrist's expertise.
