I am not aware of any long term effects of nutmeg.
there is not much research on it and you will be hard pressed to find it listed in a pharm.textbook
cant remember the chemical compound. I can tell you that it is classed as a mild halucinogen, so probably similar downsides as pot which is sometimes blanketed here.
on a side note to all, bananas dont contain bananadine.
