I would rather avoid Srri's because of agitation side effect. What is the side effect profil for Tofranil, is it tolerable? Any body take it and have comments to add?

As far as i am concerned imipramine saved my life. I took it back in 1993 the first time and the last winter the second time.
I didn't have any considerable side-effects in the long run; just blurred vision, a little bit of anxiety and dry/bitter mouth in the first weeks.
I think side-effects depend on how healthy you are: the more you're fit and in good health the less you're supposed to have relevant side-effects (that's my personal opinion though).
