Effexor withdrawal and side effects

I too have experienced severe withdrawal effects from discontinuing Effexor. It took more than two months completely off the drug for me to begin to feel normal again, that is to say no more "brain zaps", muscle aches, nausea, etc.

I'm concerned that the FDA and the drug company are not taking this withdrawal syndrome seriously. Please consider sharing your experience with the FDA. The FDA required that the manufacturer include "discontinuation symptoms" in the patient leaflet, however I don't feel that patients are being informed prior being prescribed Effexor, and I feel the discontinuation symptoms warrant consideration of re-examining whether the drug is addicting.
