Skydancer,
I had a similar experience -- was taking 112.5 mg. Effexor, which helped the depression, but ruined my sex drive and caused great fatigue. My doctor added 300 mg. Wellbutrin to help with the fatigue ... I haven't heard of it helping with sex drive issues, but it makes sense that it would, if it can help offset fatigue. Hopefully it will help in your case. Unfortunately, it didn't work with my sex drive -- but I'm not a good comparison, since my libido has been in dire straits for some time now!

Anyway, Wellbutrin + Effexor and other SSRIs is a pretty common combination. I hope it works for you! If the 150 mg. doesn't work, you can try to go as high as 400 mg. 400 was too much for me, though -- caused agitation. But 300 was fine.

Best of luck to you! Hang in there,
Cindy

> I have been on Effexor Xr 150mg for about 3 months for depression. It has helped my depression and no bad side effects EXCEPT I have no sexual desire at all and I cannot have an orgasm. Today my doc prescribed Wellbutrin at 150mg to help the problem. so now I will be taking Effexor Xr 150mg and Wellbutrin 150 mg everyday. Has anyone heard of this?Anyone else having sex problems and if so what did you do about it? HELP!
