It doesn't sound "normal" nor pleasant to me. I would think that if Effexor was going to have a positive effect for you, it would have done so by now. Have you seen your doctor recently? I don't think you should have to put up with uncomfortable side effects when there are so many options available.I would (just my opinion) make another appointment with your doctor, explain what is going on, and ask if he has an alternative. It can take a lot of experimentation to find a medication that helps and has few side effects, but when you do hit on the right one, you will find it well worth your effort.
