Now my sister has fibromyalgia and only takes Elavil about 9pm to help her sleep through the night. She does not take any other meds specifically for it. Maybe it's not a daily dose of anti depressant that you need. You may need to do a trial and error thing with meds. Also, my sister has not gained weight while on Elavil.
