Tina - The B-complex vitamins help to maintain the integrity and function of the myelin sheath on nerve cells. Basically, the myelin sheath helps transmit electrical signals faster along the length of a nerve cell, making the cell function more efficiently.

I really don't know much about deficiency theories, but a supplement (eg. 1 Stresstab with Iron a day) doesn't hurt. I do not promote megavitamin therapy in most people. It is not necessary and can be expensive. Eating fresh fruits and vegetables is probably the best way to get your vitamins, but a little supplementation usually doesn't hurt. Iron is important in pre-menopausal women as, because of menstruation, women lose iron with the blood. I do recommend low dose iron supplemention in these women, as our diets never really seem to give women enough.

Hope this helps - Cam W.
