It gradually flattened and dipped and my dose was put up finally to 600mg and I proceeded to get worse and worse until they changed it for Paxil, which did nothing for about 3 weeks. I had one day of feeling great and then the poop-out started. > Fred

This phenomenon is clearly identified and discussed in a book I was reading. Not just a case of chemical imbalance. And this of course warrants a whole new approach in drug selection priorities.

Very grateful for any information you could pass along.(Also...I guess I should introduce myself. I've been religiously reading your board for a couple years now, and have recently posted a few messages. When I discovered psychobabble,
I was so excited (that is, as excited as a depressive can be!) Here were people who, like me, have tried many medications...who educated themselves...who I might be able to help and be helped by. I have a diagnosis of solft biopolar, but the depressions have beem the major problem. I have tons of experience with meds...I look forward to staying in touch with you all.One more thing -- a few days ago, someone answered a post of mine at my home aol and I think I lost the post..
If you sent me a message -- and I have yet to answer it -- please send it again....Stephanie L.
