Being vastly underemployed, in danger of losing our house, etc., my S.O. and I recently applied at target....
And, we got an (oh, so nice) post card in the mail...well, thanks, but, no thanks...don't call us, we'll call you, etc....
Then, when reading the want ads (help wanted) there is a big Target ad, looking for 'suitable' people.
I've always loved Target for a variety of reasons (cheap, glittery stuff being one), but, obviously I am too old, too whatever to please them.
The young (as in 30 years younger than me) woman who spoke to my S.O. (who finished the application first, and went to wait in the 'fast food area') said all sorts of things to him, and to me said "oh, ok, well, thank you...." etc.
Both of us got the 'thanks, but no thanks, cards" but I can't help but think I ruined his chances!
Sheesh!
