Halloween just starts this big ball rolling right over a big fat turkey that runs over a stupid Christmas(aarrggghh)tree and catches on fire when the fireworks start.
Why can't we move holidays around or skip them occasionally? I mean, you gotta buy as much crap to make your house look absolutely ridiculous at Halloween now as you do at Christmas. Then, kids can't trick or treat cause they may get poisened so the parents leave them home with a sitter while the parents get drunk at one of the adult Halloween parties. Halloween was stolen by adults.
Christmas?! Jesus is so sick of the commercialism and family arguments, he heads to Ft. Lauderdale for some windsurfing. He hangs with the same group every year. They love the way he makes the wind and waves perfect so they're not telling anyone. Is Jesus good at windsurfing? The best, but all he wants to do is teach and tell stories. He's only on the board a few hours a day. On Christmas day, these people give a huge fish fry for poor people.
He comes back to the group at new years and they sit on the dark beach, everyone just has on cutoffs, even Jesus, the women add a bathing suit top and t-shirt. They'll relax after eating some fish and Jesus tries to explain the bus system in heaven. He can't resist a whopper now and then.
The little beach kids stick to Jesus like glue. They really know Jesus. They ask for nothing at Christmas but to be around him. He assures them that they will be together anytime they want.

So, I strayed a little...
