Thanks for your encouraging responses. I voluntarily spent a week in the hospital after posting. My psychiatrist is excellent and we have worked hard on this together. I just haven't cooperated by getting "well" (whatever that is). It would be nice to have a few more breaks from continuous mental torment. Perhaps the bipolar expert I have a consult with in a month will have a novel idea that will do the trick. I'm just not sure I can will myself to hang in there that long. Noticing the small things and keeping pictures of my kids continuously in front of me are my best bets.
