Celexa and Alcohol...Dr. Bob?

I am really concerned by the recent postings about combining alcohol with Celexa. I'm no doctor, but I thought that mixing alcohol with SSRIs (and certain other A.D.s) was a recipe for disaster. I mean like seizures, coma, death, liver disease-type scenarios. Plus, this stuff about not taking meds on nights you want to go drinking sounds like a bad idea. Granted, Celexa supposedly has a faster reaction time, but I believe (?) that it is still necessary to maintain an even dose over time for a theraputic effect.
Because of the helpful nature of this forum, I will not go into the import of not being willing to forgo alcohol after being warned not to combine it with SSRIs; only please discuss the issue with your physician.
Incidentally, all my meds have a bright sticker on them from the pharmacy warning me not to use alcohol. I'm surprised that aparantly all pharmacists don't do this.
