> I am convinced my 85-year old mother suffers from clinical depression. In her "heart of hearts," I believe she know it too. However she writes off her feelings to grief eminating from my father's (her husband of 62-years) death in October of 1996. I would bet she has been depressed most of her adult life, but increasingly since 1996. I need help with convincing her that she could feel better by having a candid conversation with a doctor. Any suggestions? Thanks.

You may need to speak with her physician first.
If she is comfortable with his advice, she may
be more open to medication.
