There's loss of libido, difficulty (if that's the word) maintaining (or whatever) erection (I assume you are a bloke), and orgasm. It's easy enough to stimulate desire, not so easy to ensure functionality, in my experience. When functional I never had a problem with orgasm, can't help there. For libido dopaminey thingos, for functionality its supposed to be Viagra, Cialis etc, but my experience with those hasn't been real good. Herbs can help, more often with desire than anything else, but they are normally stimulating, so if sleep is a problem.... I'd like to try cabergoline. And I've never been on Nardil, except for one day 33 years ago (only on it one day...then I was worried about the food thing), which was magic.....Some super placebo effect? Can you reduce the Nardil enough to get the AD effect but lose the anorgasmia? I guess not. You don't have some great chinese herbalist where you are do you?

I have been on MAOI's for over 10 years now. I am female and haven't had any loss of libido at all and am practically always orgasmic...even when other areas of my experience of life are very dark. Have you tried another MAOI? Is that all you are taking? Is it working for you? You might ask about augmentation. I must also take a stimulant(Dexedrine)in the mornings. It is tricky, but I have very low blood pressure, did the research, and trust my doctor completely. You already know the drill on the diet, one just has to watch it more closely. Also --major warning-- be certain to discuss any of the current meds available for erectile dysfunction (prescribed, herbal,or OTC) with your psychiatrist(and I so hope you are seeing one who is expert and current on psychopharmacology). Most of these meds work with the hydraulics of blood and fluid pressure. One doesn't want to push that with MAOI's. You may try taking your dose at a different time. Also, exercise can make a tremendous difference as can talk therapy for any unresolved issues.

mmm, my biggest problem is Social Phobia, Im still finding the correct dose for me. I was having great results with 60mg Nardil and 50mg of seroquel , but know has stopped working. I am going to increase Seroquel again, maybe to 75 or 100 and wait for some days

>>You don't have some great chinese herbalist where you are do you?

Hi Tep
Viagra, perhaps more than Cialis, didn't feel very healthy. My sinuses aren't real good anyway, and both drugs made them block up somewhat. The effect on the heart didn't feel great. But they work, I guess, if you can organise it right. Are they contraindicated with Nardil?
Herbs might have an interaction with Nardil. Maybe Ginseng does? Epimedium (Horny Goat Weed) is one that's used. You'd need to be careful. I imagine, only on the basis of having taken it without MAOIs, that yohimbine would be dangerous (I think if I was on Nardil I might add small amounts of deprenyl to it. But that probably wouldn't be so helpful, except for getting in the mood.)
No I haven't tried cabergoline. It's expensive, but I'm curious. You think it was the Nardil that stopped working?

Hi Tep, look I'm sorry, I missed your post.
The problem with Viagra and Cialis has just been that they make me feel a little unwell/worse, like a little of an awful stimulant, I suppose.
Herbs: you could try rhodiola, but it will probably aggravte insomnia, if you have that. Withania at least should not, but it probably won't work in a noticeable fashion. However I like it.
I have tried cabergoline. Expensive but worth a try, I guess.
My experience with various drugs, (opiates and benzos, not MAOIs), is that nothing really works except not taking them. Like to be proved wrong though.
