I am not a big fan of the "glide" thin, ribbon like kind. I just don't think it does the job. Opinions?

I agree glide makes a thicker floss and I use this and like it as it doesn't break. Phillipa

I don't like it, too much gliding, needs more friction.

My teeth are close together so need this type to floss or it breaks. Phillipa

Get the kind in the little holder that snaps onto a handle that looks like a toothbrush. My dentist raves about them (she's so passionate about flossing that she says, "you don't need to floss all your teeth, only the ones you intend to keep!").
The brace holds the perfect amount of floss, so there is no waste. The toothbrush handle makes it easy to maneuver around your mouth without getting your fingers all goopy. And my dentist says its fine to reuse the same floss cartridge several times -- just rinse it well and change it if it gets frayed.
This is the end of the thread.
