I went to my auntie's funeral this wknd and now i am working on life stuff...
here's the general deal
By the way, my mother is TOO much. Only SHE could figure out a way to make favors for a funeral. She is entirely too much. She had a florographer(an artist of flowers) make these beautiful cards with these flowers that all have a connection to Aunt Trudy into this beautiful portrait, and she had a card printed for each neice, great neice, and everyone she made bookmarks with this poem and had these little wooden prayer crosses made; hand painted things. So, if anyone plans on dying soon, my mother would do an excellent job of giving you the best funeral possible.. She spent the whole bruncheon chasing down everyone with their envelope of keepsakes and had everything that Aunt Trudy left for them wrapped in little brown paper bags with irridescent ribbon tied up all pretty.. she is good.(I got a shawl from Spain) She really is. Her and my dad even went to church, AGAIN after the funeral mass. I feel bad for being such a :)_+ all my life. My dad even went back after the bruncheon to make sure she was "covered" correctly. And when I called today, he was there at the cemetary. The best part of the funeral was at the cemetary... Beautiful fall day, sun shining, breeze blowing...She (Kath) whips out the cd player and plays Josh Groban "To Where You Are". If you never heard it, I want you to picture something. Listen to the song. (MUCH sappier than the Billy Joel dance at my wedding) Picture on top of a mountain, in a cemetary with less than 100 people buried in it, in a small town, on a beautiful day, 100 +people holding hands, my poor dad, with tears running down his face holding an urn with all of his brothers and sisters standing in a circle around this little hole in the ground...Life is so hard to understand. The hardest part for me, was standing by my dad, and watching the people I didn't know come in and to hear how they spoke of her, and how she touched so many lives..
My brother Marty, is the bombdiggity. He wrote this Eulogy, called "Play Ball" He talked about Aunty Trudy's life as if it were a ball game ( she loved the Pirates and Steelers) and in the first inning...and talked...and proceeded to the bottom of the ninth in which he talked about her battle with cancer...and how she won the game...No tears from Marty, he is so strong, but he brought the house down. He made everyone laugh and everyone cry. Hope you can appreciate my sobering weekend..."To Where You Are"-Josh Groban
Who can say for certain
Maybe you're still here
I feel you all around me
Your memories so clearDeep in the stillness
I can hear you speak
You're still an inspiration
Can it be (?)
That you are mine
Forever love
And you are watching over me from up aboveFly me up to where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile to know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you areAre you gently sleeping
Here inside my dream
And isn't faith believing
All power can't be seenAs my heart holds you
Just one beat away
I cherish all you gave me everyday
'Cause you are mine
Forever love
Watching me from up aboveAnd I believe
That angels breathe
And that love will live on and never leaveFly me up
To where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile
To know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you areI know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

Anakin, that was so pretty. Thanks for sharing such a sad but special day with us. Your family sounds so caring and wonderful and your aunt must have been very special. Your mom delt with her grief by making "favors" and passing them out to everyone. That's okay, we all have our ways of dealing with things. I hope that you are okay and I will be thinking of you. Where have I been? Mostly spending time with the Lord, trying to dig myself out of a pit of deep discouragement and looking for a glimmer of hope again for my future. I am not willing to go into the details because I would have to dig up all that junk that I somehow managed to dump after virtually living in church for the past week. I am now up and around and I have hope again.
I'm sorry I couldn't be here all the time for everyone. I did the best I could when I felt well enough myself and I thought I had something to offer. So to avoid hurting any more feelings, I bid the Yo's farewell now.
God bless,
Simus

I am still here, I read everyday - just don't post often. I'm one of those people that think of something really good to say like 20 minutes too late. You guys make me laugh and it is really touching how you help so many people! I am still on 20mgs and feeling good and stable, which is what I was searching for. Things in my marriage are MUCH better, my husband and I have really had to work at it but everyday it gets better. Thank you for remembering me and I will try to post every now and then.

Simus, I hope that you will reconsider leaving us. Some of us have had a hard time of things lately and nothing that has been said should be taken to heart. I am really sorry that you have been going through a rough time and if you ever need to share it with someone, I will always be here for you. I have really enjoyed our etalks but it seems like the yo yo's are all disappearing. It's very sad to me. I feel better than ever and want to help all of my sisters who aren't feeling very well. Please feel free to email me anytime at my personal email pamandart at verizon.net. I would love to keep in touch. God bless sweetie. Mrs. C (Pam)

Wow this board is pretty friggin sad....no one even responds anymore, not even for Mrs. C's birthday party. What the heck is going on with the yo-yo's.
This is unaceptable!!!We are suppose to be supportive and stick together. Everyday we are losing more and more of our group.
I have never seen it this bad, well all I can say is I am glad that Mystic, Mrs. C and Lexy communicate on the outside of this board. I don't know what I would do without you guys especially you Mystic - you are there for me everyday like my guardian angel and I love you and appreciate you so much for that.
Well I guess this is the last ha rah for this Lexapro site - no one want to be bothered anymore. I hope if any of the yo-yo's are still at least reading the boards that you are all feeling good and that is why your not posting anymore and if your not feeling good than that is more of a reason why you should be posting for support, so that we can all help one another to get well.
love to all of you guys,
anxious babeP.S. Don't worry Mrs. C Mystic and I will give you a party you won't forget even if no one else shows up.

I'm so sorry that I haven't been able to post for so long. I know that you all care about me, and I appreciate the posts, but the motivation has been gone and I was just so tired of trying. The depression has been really bad, and I have been barricading myself from the world.
Some of you may remember that I started weaning off the lex around the same time my mom died, and then my doctor announced that he would be leaving in September. I didn't want to start a new med until the new doc was here. Well, I finally worked up the courage to see her, and my appointment was today. She is wonderful . . . she actually talked with me and listened and we spent close to an hour together.
I will be trying prozac again. I tried it several years ago and did ok except that I absolutely could not sleep on it. Old doc wouldn't give me sleeping pills; new doc says ambien is fine . . . so here goes. However, the pharmacy gave me capsules instead of tablets and I didn't realize it till I got home. So now I have to decide whether to go ahead and start with 10mg or wait and see if I can get tablets.
GOD I HATE THIS GAME!! I have been playing it for over half my life, and still no one has figured out the rules . . . or even the object! I honestly wonder if the object of this game is to make the drug companies richer.
Ok, I better stop . . . nothing good in my mind right now. Please pray for me that the prozac will help this time. I love you guys.
. . . jlynne
P.S. I bet Simus will come to Mrs. C's b.d. party, cuz Al told me he is bringing Mel again! How about it, Simus . . . you and me and the guys, in the limo again??

Jlynne, So glad to hear from you again. You had many of us concerned but we respected the fact that you needed space. I will pray for you as I always pray for all of my sisters! Being alone is not the answer though, that I know for sure! Try to keep yourself among friends who understand what you are going through and can be supportive of your choices. Hope that you continue to post with us. Mrs. C

Hey Jlynne,
It's so good to see a post with your name on it.
The boards have been so quiet lately - I don't know what is going on.
Good luck with your new meds and I will say a prayer for you.
So are you coming to our birthday party bash for Mrs. C. I have got Jon Bon Jovi coming to do a surprise concert for Mrs. C and then after the concert he is going to sweep her away and they are going to "Runaway" in his limo and fly out to Las Vegas for a night of gambling and then back to his penthouse suite at the hotel of her choice.
Then he is going to lay her down on a "bed of roses" until her husband posts a sign saying "wanted dead or alive"
Oh it's going to be an exciting party for mrs. C but please keep it a secret.

Jylnne!
Hey girl! So glad you are back. I am on prozac also of course they gave me the pink and purple kind (sarafem). Mine is also in gel caps. I took swisted them open and just took a half a gel cap, (one side seems to be more full than the other). I took the less full the first two days and the more full the second two days then started all the way to 20mg on day 5 or 6. So far I have really not had any problems yet with it. I am feeling better, awaiting my cycle that should be at in a few days but things have not been as bad as last months. Sunday was the end of my second week and I think that it is working, I like it MUCH better than Lexapro so far. So good luck to you. Im here if you need me!
