Heard Dr. Andrew Weil interviewed by Larry King on CNN. It's not the first time I've seen him, but it's the first time I've paid attention. Am looking forward to perusing his website for his alternative medicine suggestions. www.drweil.com

He is one of the alternative therapy doctors that I really respect.

He is also a regular contributor to Prevention magazine, with the "Ask Dr. Weil" section.

I have one of his books at home that I refer to regularly. He has done a lot to bring more holistic treatment into the mainstream.
My only complaint about him is that he still has some of the old school, traditional medicine biases. He doesn't believe CFS exists. As a sufferer I find that infuriating. He also thinks that hypoglycemia is a rare condition and that most people who claim to have it, don't. I am also hypoglycemic and find that opinion insulting as well.

I think of him as more mainstream than alternative. I've read his books and have recieved his daily emails and I find a lot of what he says to be very biased toward the traditional, mainstream medicine that has been such a disaster for modern healthcare.

He's a mixture. He has the traditional training and some of the attendant biases but he also has a very progressive side. He seems to straddle both worlds.
