It's my understanding that you might get faster results from emailing Dr. Bob directly. His email address is at the bottom of each page. He's not reading the boards, even Admin. on a regular basis anymore, from what I gather.

I don't think we told you that exactly, although I didn't go back and read posts or anything. I think I, at least, just told you how to test it (try to send and receive messages) and that only Dr. Bob can fix it - we have no access to any tools to separately turn off Babblemail. I guess he must have done so at one time, and then not "fixed" what he did, but I'm unsure.
Sorry about that, Marty. And geegee is correct in all she said about Dr. Bob's participation here, sadly.
Oh and, you probably want to put something eye-catching and Babble-specific in your email subject line. I think Dr. Bob gets many emails and for him to know it's Psycho-Babble related it helps to use, "PB Problem! Help, Please!" or something similar in the subject. Hope that works.

I tried it and it's true said same to me. I think I asked this before but why is his name in red and others in blue? Sorry if repeating myself. But couldn't he send others babblemails and then they could if they wanted exchange e-mails or something so they whoever can talk in private just a thought hope it is helpful. Phillipa

He can't send *anyone* Babblemails until Dr. Bob fixes it. But if you are talking about the reasons behind why it was turned off in the first place, I can't speak to that. I don't really remember or understand the sequence of events, but I do know Dr. Bob prefers posters don't use Babblemail - even once - to facilitate violating the guidelines. For any more, you and/or Marty really have to talk to him.
Links change color because you've visited them. Default is usually purple and blue, but can be set to any colors. Sounds like red and blue on your computer. The color of Marty's name has nothing to do with whether or not his Babblemail is disabled/enabled. It's because his name is a link. Same with any other link on the page, boards, the FAQ - anything. They are one color if you have recently visited that link (clicked on it) and one color if you haven't.
