babblemail from DNP person?

Posted by chemist on September 28, 2005, at 18:25:22

hello there, chemist here...a ruling from the court, please...i am understanding less in re: DNP than i thought i did upon mr. hoover's departure from these parts...perhaps 1.5 years ago, PB persona ``fayeroe'' made it abundantly clear to me that she did not welcome any posts emanating from me toward her: i have complied to the letter.

why, then, is there babblemail emanating from ``fayeroe'' in my inbox? the contents - available for public viewing, contact my ISP for the best VRFY i can offer - are none too nice, nor too naughty. and this longhorn does not care to hear from any okies - today or any other day.

in any event: is the use of babblemail as invoked by ``fayeroe'' - a PB tool (babblemail, not ``fayeroe''), and not the same as going about it via external routes (``real'' email) or avoiding making a post - ``legal'' in this regard?

if the woman in question wishes to hound me in private life, she ought to do it without using PB as a mail relay server and with the aid of an attorney: there are no shortage of people who will gladly provide to you my email addresses other than the one pointed to by the PB domain, as ``fayeroe'' is not alone in her dislike of yours truly...

all the best, and eagerly awaiting the ruling,
chemist

Chemist I never heard of her. But I would never give out someone else's E-mail unless it was publically displayed. Fondly, Phillipa

*** hello there, phillipa...perhaps in time you will meet ms. ``fayeroe'' and can go from there...***

But I would never give out someone else's E-mail unless it was publically displayed. Fondly, Phillipa

*** i appreciate the gesture: however, the concern is more akin to using PB as a way to send and receive email with (relative) anonymity.

just as most of us have no desire - or lack the computational acumen - to actually locate, unmask, and harass a person using publicly-available and free-of-charge tools such as BabbleMail, there are those who can and will do just that if given the opportunity. and PB does provide a service that can be used as described - all DNP-related nonsense aside.

awaiting word from the head justice, as it were :) ***

yours, chemist

If you don't think someone is civil in a babblemail, forward it to me, and I can block them.

Also, you can ask them here not to post to (or babblemail) you, so this shouldn't be an issue in the future (even if they're civil).

How does that sound?

Bob

hello there...the babblemail is not nearly the standard by which civility - here or elsewhere - ought be judged: i assume many of us have more pressing matters than this. i shall follow up on the DNP and we can both be spared trudging through the spooler....yours, chemist
