been away from the board for a week or so & now every time I click on messages it opens in a new window. Then the next msg in the thread opens in another new window & on & on until I spend half the time between reading closing the 15 extra windows that have appeared. There must be a setting somewhere but Ive looked everywhere & am at my wits end!
TIA for any help

> TIA for any helpThere are two ways you can open the next message in a thread. If you read the first message in a thread, and decide to read the next one, you can hig the back button to return to the main board, and select the next message. That brings you back to the same window the last posting was in, but with the new message opened. If, instead, you scroll down below a message you're reading, and select the next one in the thread from there (rather than from the main board), you're going to open a new window. I hope that clears it up for you.

Lar thanks for the reply. It's never worked like that at all for me. If I have only 1 browser window open & I load psychobabble then click on a msg a new window always opens with the msg in it; giving me 2 windows/pages, the 1st with the psychobabble board page & the 2nd with the msg. If I then clicked on the next or any other msg on the psychobabble page it would load in the already existing 2nd page. That's how it always worked for me until today when as I described that 2nd window got left & a new one would open & on & on until I had 20 pages open. The problem seems fixed now because I had to reboot because of it (g*&^amn memory leak in IE or something).
Now Im wondering how to prevent it happening again or even to have it only use the single page.

If you use this link..
http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/babble.html
It opens everything in frames.. so list of messages are on the left hand side, and the actual message text on the right hand side.
Hope that helps
